I believe that no destination can be rushed, none of this one day here and one day there when you need to come home for a holiday. I specialise in bespoke travel mainly to Bhutan, Nepal, India and Laos and when required Sri Lanka. I have offices in 4 of these countries where I work with local guides. Having travelled to nearly 70 countries in my lifetime, I have a wealth of knowledge about do's and do nots, country etiquette (like Morocco) customs and how to enjoy your journey all the while maintaining best practice sustainability. I do however have a swag of experience in most parts of Europe and South America.
I love the different and the unique, having achieved base camp at Mt Everest on the Tibetan side and the amazing Tigers Nest in Bhutan three times. I love the Christmas Markets in Europe and sailing with Windstar Cruises in every one of their destinations. Incredible places like Bolivia and Chile, Patagonia and the Arctic. I have a treasure trove of photos - another of my passions - from Myanmar, Cambodia, Africa, Europe, India, Iceland and so much more. But my journey continues in both mind and spirit - there is so much more to see and experience. Life is an adventure no matter how you attack it. In luxury, on a budget, cruise, train and land (I love Switzerland by train) there is one big world out there for us all to enjoy.
I love helping people make memories and create new friendships. I may not travel with you but I do in your photos and stories. While I have a real affiliation with Asia, I have covered a great deal of Europe on river cruises and by train, Croatia is amazingly diverse - not only Dubrovnik - Italy is...well what more can I say there. You may not want to do what the mainstream do, you may have your own ideas and that is where we can build an itinerary that is just right for you.

We travelled to Bhutan with Deanne Scanlan Travel in 2018. Many people say that visiting Bhutan changes them and it does. The people, the culture , the pristine countryside are something to be experienced. Deanne Scanlan Travel made this journey possible with every expectation met. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable guide and an experienced driver. We experienced different forms of accommodation from farm stay to 5 star and many adventures along the way. The whole package put together by Deanne Scanlan Travel was outstanding. Regards Leslie

Deanne is the travel agent you want in your corner. She takes the time to listen to your needs and wants then does the job in creating exactly that. Plus if the unexpected happens during your holiday and you need someone to help you through she will be there. If you aren’t sure of what you want or where to go Deanne has travelled extensively and will surely help make the decision so much easier. Deanne is definitely our go to agent. We highly recommend her.
