I've been in customer service for over 40 years and after a couple of decades in Retail Management I decided to try something new, becoming a Travel Advisor in 2015. As it's how I love to travel, I specialise in high-end, luxury holidays (as well as discreetly looking after many high-net worth clients) so I'm continuously learning about luxury products in the market, such as small ship cruising, expedition cruising, small group touring, boutique hotels, and so on.
I run my business from my home office in an Art Deco apartment, overlooking the park in New Farm, Brisbane (soon opening to the publci!). If you're local your next holiday can be discussed whilst walking along the Brisbane River Walk, having a coffee in a local cafe, or even at your home (discretion is guaranteed). Many clients have their trips arranged via email and occasional phone calls so meeting up isn't even necessary! I've been the in-house travel agent at Aveo Newstead since it opened in mid-2018.
I usually shadow my husband's hours to ensure a good work/life balance, so I'm at my desk early (Monday to Friday) and I try to finish by 2pm. However, appointments can be arranged outside of these hours.
